Mr. Appliance® Vice President of Operations Mary Kay Liston gained her Certified Franchise Executive designation during the International Franchise Association (IFA) Annual Convention in February.

“I’m proud to have achieved my CFE certification,” Liston said. “The CFE is the leadership standard for franchise executives, and I’m proud to be in the company of so many people I admire.”

Mr. Appliance is a subsidiary of The Dwyer Group, Inc.®, which is based in Waco, Texas. Mr. Appliance’s sister companies include Aire Serv, Glass Doctor, Mr. Electric, Mr. Rooter, Rainbow International and The Grounds Guys.

The Institute of Certified Franchise Executives (ICFE) is the academic affiliate of the IFA Educational Foundation. Designees who meet all requirements and complete the program, which involves a prescribed course of study specific to franchising, earn the title.

“I remember walking across the stage as I received my CFE designation in March 2005,” said ICFE Board of Governors Chairman Mark Liston, CFE, who is president of Glass Doctor and Mary Kay’s husband.  “This year was even more special for me as my wife crossed the stage to receive her CFE. The CFE has become the leadership standard for franchise executives.”
